Ilias Mittas is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology, NKUA. He successfully completed his MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics in 2024 and his BA in Philology with a specialization in Linguistics in 2020, both at the Faculty of Philology, A.U.Th. His main research interests are oriented towards both theoretical and applied fields of linguistics with special focus on phonology, morphology, lexicon, language processing, language acquisition and language disorders. He has been a research member of the project DemLENS (https://demlens.enl.auth.gr) for the last two years (2022 – current date), working on data recording, transcription and annotation. He has participated in presenting the team’s work at several conferences (e.g. Alzheimer’s Association International Annual Conference 2023,16th International Conference on Greek Linguistics), as well as publishing at journals and conference proceedings.
Role in GRADIENCE: Ilias Mittas is engaged in the manual Part-of-Speech (PoS) annotation of HelexKids, the construction of a GHG model for the analysis of Greek nominal stress, and publishing the research findings.
